I sign myself as a Steel Guitar/MIDI/Tunesmythe in my correspondence. I am primarily a steel guitarist, but am also a songwriter/composer. I have a project studio dedicated to my songwriting/composing - Moose Muse Music International. I publish my music under DeViAntunes (BMI). I am also a novice computer programmer, and have created some steel guitar related software for DOS PC's.

I have long held that steel guitar is not just for Country or
Hawaiian music. I grew up on the Beatles, the British Invasion,
Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Clapton, Page and Little Feat; Punk, New Wave,
Elvis Costello, Squeeze. I have played in a variety of musical
settings and have strived to play something other than the same
old "twang."
One result of this Rock fascination is:

"Virtual" Steel Guitar Emulator Software(C)(P) Moose Muse Music As a "learning to program in C++" project I developed the V-Steel! "Virtual" Steel Guitar Emulator program, running on DOS PC's. |
| V-Steel! displays a representation of a steel guitar
neck, and pedals. You choose from a menu of Keys and Chords;
the program highlites the positions on the neck where the notes
of the chosen chord appear. Then, choosing pedals to activate,
you can see the changes the pedal (or combination of pedals)
causes as the the highlited notes re-align. E9th &
